Elastech - recent development

ELASTECH SERVICES are at the forefront of many developments in the rubber, automotive, tyre retreading and tyre recycling industries. Here are just a few of our recent achievements :-

Rally Tyres
A range of Elastech designed re-manufactured Rally Tyres are proving themselves in competition on the Australia rallying circuit against new Rally Tyres made by the Worlds leading tyre manufacturers.

Winner of the Club Series in Tasmania

Winner of the Victorian Junior Championship

Second placing in the Queensland Championship

.....and to cap of a great year, third and fourth place in

the Group N class at the gruelling 1999 Rally Australia held at Perth, on the Proton Satria works cars!

Taxi Tyres
Elastech have designed a range of bead-to-bead remanufactured tyres specifically for the Australian Taxi industry. Market penetration is currently in excess of 20% of the total Australian taxi market and rising. Operators are reporting mileages up to 82,000kms, and routinely obtain mileages equal to, or in many cases, up to 50% better than new tyres - at less than half the total operational cost.

Precured Truck Tread
Elastech has developed a series of Tread Compounds for an independent Australian manufacturer of Precured Tread rubber which is equalling the performance of its multi-national competitors. These products are being exported into demanding markets such as the Phillipines where they are providing superior service life to domestically produced competitive products.

Flexible roadside guide posts
Elastech have been instrumental in developing a system for recycling worn steel-belted passenger tyres into flexible roadside guide posts to replace traditional wooden guide posts. These posts can withstand multiple vehicle impacts reducing road maintenance costs. But perhaps more importantly contributing to the solution of two major environmental problems - disposal of scrap tyres AND reducing the pressures on forest harvesting.

Low profile re-manufacured tyres
Elastech has successfully achieved the difficult task of designing and bringing into production a range of 45 and 50 series bead-to-bead remanufactured tyres for high performance vehicles.

SCE41 Grade Cellular rubber
Elastech has developed a process for producing a soft-grade polychloroprene based closed cell expanded rubber for tail-light sealing service in a popular range of Australian-made passenger vehicles.

High gloss automotive window sealing
Elastech developed a process for producing a high-gloss weather resistant door seal strip which has been incorporated into a major range of Australian-designed passenger vehicles.

Materials Handling
Elastech has designed and commissioned a fully computer -controlled automated tyre-handling system for a major Australian retreader - a first in Australian retreading - and possibly the world!

Retread Beauty Contest
With Elastech's technical assistance, one of our South Asian clients has achieved the distinction of being awarded a Blue Ribbon in the Retread Appearance Contest at the prestigious 26th Annual (1999) ITRA Convention, for a Bead-to-Bead remoulded tyre.

Steel Belted Radial LT/RV Tyre Remoulds
Elastech has achieved the difficult task of producing Bead-to -Bead remoulds of heavy duty Light Truck and RV tyres; a first in the Australian market!
